A friend introduced me to traditional rug hooking a couple of years ago, and I'm hooked!
I'm having fun giving an old traditional art a contemporary Californian twist.
What I love about traditional rug hooking is combining wool, vintage recycled wool fabric, yarns, ribbons and even silk sari to create beautiful combinations of color and texture. I hand dye most of the wool used in my work.
Inspirations for my designs come from living at the beach in San Clemente, California and vacationing on Catalina Island.
